Imarex and NOS Clearing have launched electronic trading and clearing of TD16 tanker freight futures. TD16 is based on a 30,000mt cargo of fuel oil shipped from Odessa in the Black Sea to Augusta in the Mediterranean.
“This latest addition to our suite of freight products is in direct response to customer demand for Mediterranean routes and follows directly on from the great success of TC6 and TD11,” said Adelfio Ronci, general manager of Imarex Italia. Settlement will be against the Dirty Tanker TD16 index published by the Baltic Exchange.
